our LEADERSHIP TEAM:
Terri Perrin — Chair
Terri is a retired award-winning freelance writer and marketing/communications consultant. She is well-respected for her creativity, dedication to community, leadership skills, and work ethic. She has spent much of her career working as an employee, volunteer, board member or contractor with several nonprofit organizations in Alberta and BC. She also has experience as a business owner and entrepreneur.
Terri was a member of 100 Women Comox Valley (BC) for about four years and became a member of the Foothills giving circle soon after moving to High River in 2022.
In addition to her role as chair of 100 Women Foothills, Terri currently volunteers with Opening Gaits Therapeutic Riding Society and, by default as a spouse of a Rotarian, the Rotary Club of High River. She is also the co-founder of High River Writers' Ink and a member of Foothills Writers Group.
"Having been employed at a non-profit that received $16,000 in much-needed funding from 100 Women Who Care Comox Valley, just two weeks prior to the when the COVID Pandemic was declared, I've experienced how impactful it is for an organization to receive a significant donation of unrestricted funding."
Cindy Dorais — Treasurer
As a long-time resident of Okotoks, Cindy is deeply committed to supporting our local community and the charities that make it thrive. She feels fortunate to have raised her family in this beautiful town and experience the strength of our community firsthand. Her experience working and volunteering with local charities such as the Rowan House and the Sheep River Health Trust has solidified her belief in the importance of local organizations in providing essential services and support. As a contributing member of 100 Women Who Care Foothills, her goal is to bring together a group of like-minded women who are passionate about making a difference.
"Together, we aim to raise substantial funds for local charities, fostering connections among our members, and supporting the causes that matter most to our membership," states Cindy. "I believe in the power of community and collaboration, and I'm dedicated to ensuring that our efforts benefit not just the organizations we serve, but also the women who come together to make it happen."
